outreach

What is the Love Project?
It is a once-a-year worship outreach experience focused on Loving God by Loving Others outside our BCC congregation. On that day the “church” will leave the building to share the love of Jesus in a practical way (we will not have morning services at the building). There are many exciting projects that participants choose to be involved in, including: fixing up homes, tearing down unsightly buildings, feeding our public servants and community residents, delivering goods to the needy, visiting nursing homes, constructing and cleaning at local ministries, clearing brush, painting, crafts with children and giving out fun food to public workers. All of these projects are "no strings attached" acts of kindness that meet people's needs.
When is the Love Project?
In 2010, it was on April 25 (with a few projects offered Saturday, April 24). Dates have not yet been announced for 2011.
Who can help with the Love Project?
Anyone is welcome to join us in serving on that day. We encourage families to work together: there are many child-friendly projects – a great way to train them up in the Lord by showing them how to love others. There is a form available to use to sign-up for participation on the Love Project – we need to know ahead of time so we can include them all on the project list.
Why does BCC do the Love Project?
We see it as fulfilling our vision (Love God, Love Others) and believe it is a part of those "good works" that God has prepared beforehand for us to walk in (Ephesians 2:10).
