The Love Project is a once-a-year worship outreach experience focused on Loving God by Loving Others outside our BCC congregation. We won’t be sitting in our comfortable church building on Sunday morning, April 25th, 2010; no Sunday school classes will meet. Instead, we’ll offer ourselves to God in service to others as our worship (Romans 12:1-2). As God’s people, we desire to not merely listen to the Word, but do what it says (James 1:22).
The Love Project is about sharing the love of Jesus in a practical way. There are many exciting projects from which to choose to be involved in, including: fixing homes, planting flowers, tearing down unsightly buildings, feeding our public servants and community residents, delivering goods to the needy, visiting nursing homes, constructing and cleaning at local ministries, clearing brush, painting homes, fixing porches, and packing goods for Haiti. All of these projects are “no strings attached” acts of kindness that meet people’s needs.
Sign-ups will begin March 27-28. Family and friends that do not attend BCC are invited to join us as well, just be sure the project leaders know about them. We encourage families to work together: there will be many child-friendly projects – a great way to train them up in the Lord by showing them how to love others.
Sign-ups will begin in the early spring for specific projects – there will be a big variety. We’ll wear specially designed t-shirts to identify ourselves and our purpose. We encourage families to work together: there will be many child-friendly projects – a great way to train them up in the Lord by showing them how to love others.
