The Love Project

What is the Love Project?
It is a once-a-year outreach experience to those outside of BCC. Each year our focus involves the entire congregation in reaching out to those in need. Most of these needs are in the form of specific projects such as fixing up homes, working at nursing homes, delivering goods to area families, feeding our public servants, encouraging weekend workers, and helping various organizations and ministries. All of these projects are "no strings attached" acts of kindness. We serve the neighborhoods in our cities and involve our own neighbors to work alongside us.
Why do we do the Love Project?
We use it to live out our identity as a church (Love God, Love Others) and to do what Jesus commands us to on behalf of "the least of these brothers of Mine" (Matthew 25:31-46). We believe meeting people's needs in a tangible way often means leaving our church building to share the love of Jesus with them.
When is it?
The planning and preparation takes place during winter and spring. The whole congregation participates in it on a set day in May. This year's date is May 6, 2012.
