Young at Heart

Faith, Food, Fellowship, and Fun: over 50 but still Young at Heart!

We meet the second Friday of each month at 6:30 PM. Our meeting theme could be to take in a sporting event, attend a concert at the I-Wireless Center, have a movie-popcorn night at church, enjoy a cookout or picnic, take a day-trip somewhere interesting or scenic, attend a mystery dinner theatre, or plan our own version of a luau. We might also take cruises on the Mississippi, attend the Backwater Gamblers Show, sing ole’ hymns — or just get together for fellowship and praising the Lord!

Care & Share

Care and Share is a senior women’s accountability group desiring to exalt God. Devotions and prayer begin our meetings, Thursdays at 1:00 PM at Della Hartman’s home at 2812 E. 35th Street, Davenport, IA. We serve as a prayer-chain as we take care of each other — and care for others, sharing what we have. We send cards of encouragement and visit those in hospitals and nursing homes. We have adopted a BCC Missions, the Kulpahar Kids’ Home in India. We ensure that the baptism changing rooms have clean towels and offering envelopes and pencils in the sanctuary are ready to use. The ladies also have fun together by going out for lunch, the first Thursday of each month.
